Palermo/Mondello

Mondello (Munneddu in Sicilian) is a town and tourist resort of Palermo, surrounded by Monte Gallo and Monte Pellegrino. Detached from the city by the Parco della Favorita, can be reached by means of the many real-lined avenues or through secondary links.

The area is renowned for the beach, which is one of the most coveted shores of Sicily, for its many Art Nouveau villas, known as the best example of Art Nouveau in Italy, and for sites of historical interest. It is home of the World Festival on the Beach.
